E-Centric & Quiet Fish
An Indian in Chicago - mastered by Alex (aka Quiet Fish) by E-Centric Music - Prague
Out of St. Petersberg, this track is produced by Quiet Fish. Loungy, jazzy, deep house smitten to the groove.

Sia
An Australian artist with a great voice. Crisp, clean, bright - an instrument in its own right. Her name has continuously made an appearance in various tracks I've come across: this girl collaborates with everybody. And winning collaborations they are.
I first heard her voice in a remix of this song (there are a bunch):
(here's one:)
'Bring Night' off her latest album (2010), We Are Born captured my attention.
Bring Night by hayshe
I then realized that I had heard her voice many a time – she's the singer for multiple Zero 7 songs.
A few of my favorites:
An old favorite:
Enjoy :)

1. Press play
2. Enjoy the stars and when that's over
3. Enjoy the animals (kill the sound on this one).
To human eyes, stars seem like some of the most unmoving objects in the universe. From the perspective of thousands of years, however, they swarm like bees.

Also of interest is John's earlier release Bedrock 12.
John has a few favorite reoccurring artists, including Christian Smith, King Unique, Maetrik, Nick Warren, Quiver and Wiretappeur that have shown up in Structures and Bedrock. He also produces a few tracks with friend and co-founder of Bedrock Records, Nick Muir.
There is yet again so much variation in this album, but John resonates a very specific breed of mixing. His transitions are flawless.
Here are a couple tracks. If you want the original files, just let me know and I'd be happy to send! You can direct message me any way you like and we'll figure it out. I'm configuring a site right now, so in the near future I will be able to quickly upload all the tracks for your downloading convenience. 'Transitions' is a pretty easy find (in hq) from a simple online search. Megauplaod and soundtrack take awhileeee, otherwise I would upload everything all the time!

i dig
This track is not new, but it is to me! Off Montreal DJ/Producer Tiga's second album, Ciao!. Half the pleasure is definitely singing along if you're in that kind of mood. It's lighthearted and playful with a pseudo-vintage sound, and....some danceable/mixable potential. The one (obvious) cascading sound is fun and much of the interest here. It messes with you just a little // a tease of camaraderie.
If you live in Canada and watch So You Think You Can Dance you'll know it. I'm N/A.

10 Slice 2010 (Carl Cox Rerub) by hayshe
Sound familiar? That's Carl Cox's recent Rerub of Joey Beltram's 'Slice'. Carl keeps it fresshhhh. On every level.
Visit Carl's "Videos" section on his website for a great archive of some of his best gigs.
Aside from the fact that he's an incredible DJ/producer, his animated films/visuals clearly accompany his sets for a truly enhanced live performance like no other. NO other. True to the word awesome. Absolutely. Awesome. Literally, the best I can do to emphasize this is repeat myself. And tell you to see Carl the next chance you get of course, where hopefully the venue is well suited for these fantastic creations.
Clearly the ideas are Carl's, but vjs and animators from all over the map have contributed to this wealth, such as...
Carnival Figures who have also produced for BT, which is interesting, since all their other main clients are not DJs at all...

Um...
This is not a rainbow. It's a moonbow, an extremely rare atmospheric phenomenon caused by the near-full moon that it's extremely hard to catch. So hard, in fact, that you can only see its colors thanks to long-exposure photography.
It was captured by Wally Pacholka last January 20, at the Haleakala Crater on the Island of Maui, Hawaii. The moonbow—or lunar rainbow—is caused when the near-full moon at less than 42 degrees in a dark sky. The colors are so faint that the human eye color receptors can't be excited enough for the brain to identify them. Therefore, they appear as white arcs to the naked eye. Only by using long-exposure photography you can reveal the diffraction of the moonlight through the microscopic water droplets suspended in the air.
By the way, that red thing shining on the sky? It's Mars rising. Check out the rest of Wally's amazing images at [Astropics].
